Example

Kono choko wa totemo amai(desu).

This chocolate is so sweet.

kono=this
choko=chocolate
totemo=so(very)

Ama sugiru(sugimasu).

It's too sweet.

..sugiru=too...

Amai mono ga suki(desu).

I like sweets.

suki=like

Ano juusu wa amakatta(desu).

That juice was sweet.

ano=that

juusu=juice

Ama sugi wa shinakatta.

It wasn't too sweet.

*Explanation of polite form
The words with green color in the bracket are polite form. For example, if only the word in bracket is green such as 'ureshii(desu) ', you can just put 'desu' after 'ureshii' so this word's polite form is '
ureshii desu'.

But if the word in the bracket and also the word before the bracket is green such as 'suteki
da(desu)', you need to change 'da' into 'desu' so this word's polite form is 'suteki desu'.
